Release Notes

Additional Improvements

New Driver Assistance Features: Smart Turn Signals and Go Chime

  • The turn signals now automatically turn off after you perform a manual lane change on a highway.
  • While you’re at a stop, Go Chime alerts you when the vehicle ahead of you drives away. Go Chime is turned on by default. To turn off Go Chime, go to Settings > Vehicle > Driver Assistance on the center display.

Gear Guard Enhancement

With Motion Cam enabled in the Gear Guard app, the camera starts recording video when it detects people close to the vehicle. With this enhancement, Motion Cam now also starts recording when it detects objects nearby.

NOTE

This feature is subject to limitations. It may not capture all events, may generate false positives, and video quality may not guarantee vehicle or individual identification. This feature is intended to provide supplemental information and should not be solely relied upon for legal purposes.

Ride Comfort Improvements

We significantly improved the ride feel of the vehicle when you drive it diagonally over speed bumps, across parking lot entries and exits, and over other types of asymmetric bumps and dips at low speeds.

R1S: Additional Improvements

  • Added SiriusXM® dual-stream support in live sports games.
  • Added the ability to scroll through larger Apple Music playlists.
  • Enhanced Alexa integration:
    • Added direct SiriusXM channel playback by name or number.
    • Improved YouTubeTM search and playback functionality, including direct media control when YouTube is active.
    • Significantly improved system responsiveness and reliability.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Wi-Fi® from self-recovering without resetting the infotainment system.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the clock time on the rear display from updating until the screen was unlocked.
  • Reduced Level 2 charging time in below freezing temperatures.
  • Fixed a rare issue that prevented glass in the side mirrors from automatically reaching tilt or drive positions.
  • Fixed a rare issue that caused a “set up phone key” pop-up to falsely appear for active phone keys.
  • Added notifications for critically low tire pressures.

Builds

Rivian can ship a version as more than one build, each identified by its git hash.

Counts reflect vehicles linked to Rivian Roamer, not Rivian's full fleet. Flagged means Rivian offered the update to a vehicle; installed means the vehicle is running it. How updates work
