How are these times measured?
Order configured uses the placement payment date, or when Roamer first sees your reservation become an order. This is separate from your original reservation date.
VIN timing uses the first recorded ready-for-delivery status. Rivian doesn’t provide the exact VIN-assignment date.
Median is the middle of the recorded wait times. Some owners wait less, and some wait longer. Pickup uses Rivian’s scheduled day, not the day the appointment was booked.
Median wait to VIN covers every order with a recorded order date. An order still waiting counts as a wait of at least its days so far, so a build whose orders mostly haven’t received a VIN can’t look quick. A + means fewer than half have a VIN yet, or too few to settle the median, so it’s at least that long.
Still waiting counts the days from an order’s recorded start to today, for orders that haven’t reached the next step. These waits aren’t finished, so they stay out of the finished figures.
Which waits count? We need to know when each step started and ended. One order can contribute to both measurements. Connecting an account doesn’t always provide dates for earlier steps.

When Rivian expects to invite each reservation to order, from the owner’s Rivian account. Each counts in the month its estimate ends.
